I think most people in the west would feel the same - that is to say 
live in the country they know, whichever it is. Now it so inexpensive 
most people travel a lot abroad (except Americans and Swiss 
apparently!) few have tried living in another country. That is the only 
way to find the real plus and minus points. I lived in France for 4 
years but came home for work reasons. I may well retire there. I did 
not like any other country I have visited enough to take the risk!
