I think TCN is not a bad substitute for TriX if printed properly. There is
a lab near San Francisco that will print it on Agfa b&w silver paper. I
think the results are much better than prints on color paper. On silver
paper the full tonal range comes across. They will print matte or glossy
with borders and full-frame on 4X6 or larger. I shot five rolls at a
friend's wedding last summer and the couple was very happy. It makes me
want to fill the trays and go into the dark again.

"I have settled on T400CN because my local processor prints the 6x4's on Agfa
colour paper and it prints almost true b&w. It also scans as b&w, unlike the
Portra which comes out blue.

I never print any images I just post to the web so I have no experience of
how it will look when enlarged. How much do I like Kodak T400CN? I just
bought 40 rolls of it.

Sorry again for the confusion and thanks for looking.
