The 35 Summilux R is a superb lens. It does have a bit of vignetting 
wide open in bright light. But when the light is low (and you NEED 1.4) 
it's a superb lens. Big and heavy, but that helps to steady the camera. 
I've owned two of them and thing they are very competitive to any other 
35mm lens, only surpassed by the newer ASPH lenses and maybe the Canon 
35 f/2 EOS lens.
