All:

I cannot comment on Helixcamera.com, but this seems a good time to put in a
good word for Kenmore Camera, of Kenmore (near Seattle), Washington.

They carry a fairly extensive list of used Leica lenses and accessories.
Their website is easy to navigate and their pricing is very competitive.
Because I was interested in a 400mm f6.8 Telyt that they had, I rang them
on the Alexander Graham Bell and spoke with Gina.

She was most helpful and when the lens arrived, it was in much better
condition than I expected! They had described it as "Exc" but I'd have
said mint- or at least EX++, for it is hard to find a mark on it! It came
with all 4 caps (a rarity for this lens!) as well as the original box and a
Leitz cable release - two items not mentioned in their description.

I was very pleased with both their pricing and their service and would
recommend them to anyone.

Everyone talks about the major dealers (B&H, KEH, etc.), but we don't hear
much about the small dealers who are doing a good job. I was most
satisfied with Kenmore and will deal with them again.

BTW: I have no interest in Kenmore Camera (www.kcamera.com) except as a
satisfied customer.
