Hello,

I looked at the Digital Rebel, too but thought it felt cheap. I found
a nice, used D-60 for about $750. It has
a better quality feel than the Rebel and similar specs. I picked up a
basic Vivitar Series One 19 -- 35 for another $100.
I haven't touched my Leicas since. OUCH!
