As a community we must be involved and informed not isolated and ignorant, with all due respect.  My experience (always the hard way) has been consistent:  No response, you've been ripped off, it's a sad feeling and a familiar one.  But this isn't the real issue, this guy got caught falsely advertising a product, no one disputes this, and for that there is little defense.  His advertisement was clear and if he couldn't be sure he could back up his claim before sale then he had no business selling the camera.  There are only two possibilities, he is a fool, or a con artist. If he is a fool then restitution or recrimination is his only recourse, if a con artist then silence is his best ally.
