All digital cameras are inexpensive relative to Leica 35mm gear :-)
If all you really want is 4x6, 2MP is enough.
If all you want is to show them on a computer screen -- consider your 
monitor size. 1024x768 is less than 1MP.
Pick a price point. Then go buy the Canon or Olympus at that price point.
Of course, you really will buy the D2, anyway.

Thanks, Clive; I'll take a look at that. The D2 is about 20 times more than
I'm willing to spend. I handled one at a recent Leica Day and disliked it
instantly.
