I had a Similar experience nearly a year ago, I was in a medium sized
Wisconsin city, and I had My Leicaflex, and this guy with a Digital
olympus noticed, so he walked up to me and up and said "A Leicaflex..."

About a month later I ran into him again, with my Leicaflex and he said
"Well if it isn't Mr. Leicaflex"
