It's very dim, and almost impossible to focus manually in any but the 
best light. It also has that 'tunnel' effect due to the cropping 
factor. The D2H and other higher end Nikons are vastly better, 
although still a far cry from the better later generation manual 
focus SLR's. The D70 is built to a price point, and its viewfinder is 
only intended to be better than the truly awful ones on the P&S and 
EVF cameras.
