I can also recommend LL. Lozeau on 6224 St-Hubert; they have lots of
professional stuff, lighting, chemicals, etc.  Myabe not too much in the
way of Leica, also not that close to downtown.  Near Camtec is Photo
Service on Notre-Dame, also a more professional oriented store.  They were
the only place I could find Kodak R3000 kits in stock.

I can concur about Simons.  If you're looking for a nice Nikon F, they
probably have several to choose from, if you can get a salesman!  They
have, (or used to have; I haven't been there in ages) lots of old Leica
stuff in the original M3 or M4 era boxes.  But I don't think they had
bargain prices.   You never know, though.
