Subject: [Leica] Susan Sontag On Photography Addendum

Dear Colleagues,

"For while paintings or poems do not get better, more attractive simply
because they are older, all photographs are interesting as well as touching
if they
are old enough."

Here Susan is waxing sentimental or romantic on us. She goes on to say, "It
is not altogether wrong to say that there is no such thing as a bad
photograph
-- only less interesting, less relevant, less mysterious ones."

In any case, she was writing in pre-digital times. So her words are silver
if
not gold-toned.

My copy of On Photography is copyrighted 1973-1977.
