The best low light B&W film Fuji Neopan 1600. Develop in Xtol or D76 1:1 
and get superb results. Tri-X at 800 is also very good. See Ted's books for 
stunning examples.

For grain, develop any high speed film (Tri-X, Agfa 400, Neopan 1600, etc, 
in Rodinal 1:25. Grain city! Very sharp grain.
