Subject: [Leica] So.. what is the deal with Alpa Cameras?

Ah, the Topcon, the favorite camera of white-socked, black-shoed, FBI
"undercover" agents at demonstrations in the 60's! :-) The damn thing
was as much a give-away as the haircuts...:-)

The Horseman SW was much more popular out here in the west Coast than
the Alpa.
It was made by the company which once made another professional camera,
the Topcon D.
Somewhere along the way Calumet Photographic got in the game with it's
own wide.
Since then, the Horseman SW disappeared off the store shelf, with only
Calumets junker versions available.
