Subject: [Leica] 5 year old's first camera??

My son is about to turn 5.
When asked what he wants for his birthday he said,
"A camera like daddy's -- that really works!".
I had to choke back a tear..

I always thought his first camera would be a film camera but I think an
ultra simple digital is the way to go.

I have asked this question in the past, but never found the right camera nor
was my son showing much interest in photography.
Up until now his only camera has been a toy from which a clown's face popped
when the shutter was pressed! (does leica make a summi-clown lens?)
