I'm real paranoid. For my "real" backup, I have a 160 GB USB drive. But
instead of turning it on when I need it, I have backed it up onto DVD's.
I use them to pull off files I want to work with instead of cranking up
the harddisk.

DVD isn't my "backup", it's my "working medium". A little
time-consuming, but I usually let them burn while I'm off doing
something else.

But I don't need to pull them up very often. I keep another 160 GB
internal disk full of files I think I'll need.
