One head missing (well not quite), Trillian and Ford (Edsel?) as
Americans, an extra character, that spindly leggy thing. Marvin is too
small, the Heart of Gold is supposed to have been shaped like a running
shoe, even the Vogons look mildly pleasant.. It's a wonder they didn't
try to slip Dirk Gently (Vlad)and some Norse Gods in there too. A total
mess.

The worst mis-filming of a book since "War of the Worlds" was moved into
the atomic age - which took out 100% of what H.G. Wells was trying to
put across about the hubris of man in the industrial age.

BTW the tv-series (BBC) was actually quite good, well I thought so. Ford
Prefect, Zaphod, Marvin and Arthur were , IMO, perfectly cast.
