Then there is Leni Riefenstahl, of course. See 
http://www.leni-riefenstahl.de/images/bio/9.jpg for her with what may 
be an M3. Some might consider her infamous due to her Nazi 
associations, but she was profusely talented as a photographer and 
film maker.
