It was that each lens has a distinct personality that can create very unique images. It was more like a painter who has been using a 1 inch bristle brush forever and discovers the art store with 5000 brushes. Lenses can paint unique images and if you know what a lens will do then you can pick the brush that is right for the intended purpose.
