As to my being "anti-Leica," that one is as old and tired as my criticism
of the company.;-) I am not anti-Leica, I am simply not a fanboy.

B.D. - I did not say, "B.D. is anti-Leica." I tried to suggest that your
choice of language and timing regarding the company and it's products
"sounds
like anti-leica mantras." And I don't think folks, like Doug, and many other
of us who are looking for tools to achieve results qualify us as 'fanboys'
or
'die-hards.' Obviously many of us have no problem hanging Canon behind Leica
glass, or hanging non Leica glass on Leica bodies. That's why your mantras
ring hollow. We're all on this list because we've used Leicas, respect the
gear, when due, and dis it when it doesn't live up. But don't put down what
you haven't used. And don't put down users who find it fitting their needs.
Even if those needs are simply to collect the stuff. I'm not a collector.
I'm
a user. But I've had some fun looking over some collections. And when we
users
do burn the stuff up, or drop it over the side of the boat. I, for one, will
be glad someone collected the piece I'd like to replace.
