Richard, don't apologize for showing us your photographs. The feeling
you describe happens to, probably, everyone doing a PAW. Just keep
prodding along. Sometimes we go into a slouch, sometimes we go into a
roll.

Your slouch looks just fine. Maybe the bookshelf was in your way ... a
little more to the left so you got a bit more of a front view would
have been nice.
