Saw a Curta calculator at a garage sale seven or eight years ago. Nobody
knew what it was. Thought it might make a nice pepper-grinder-looking
paperweight. Bought it for about $10. Sold it three years ago on eBay for
$600. Now they are going for almost $1000.

Forget collecting Leicas - Buy Curtas!

Gary Todoroff

P.S. I think Curtas were made in Luxemburg. Google will bring up some
amazing history about the man who stayed alive in Nazi Germany by designing
the Curta.

<Now, I still lust for one of those Swiss Curta rotary calculators, mind
you!

<Marc
