There is none.  It is an issue of dirt, grit, number of contact times (
Insertion tries) and contact material. There is also a percentage of static
charge damage.  None of this is related to the size of the card.  It is all
physics.  There is also an issue of manufacturer quality.

It makes no difference... if even ONCE you lose an image that was the
gee-darnest bestest image ever created ( or so you believe), then proper
handling and formatting is a necessity.  It costs you relatively nothing,
and isn't that a lot cheaper than going back to Peru for that once in a
lifetime shot?  ( Or trying to get your 13 year old daughter to smile
again....)

Behave, use the best techniques you can think of, be consistent, and NEVER
think you can not lose an image.....

I'm not so sure this discussion is based on ANYTHING other than "gut
feelings". If we were talking about micro-drives then I'd be in
agreement. But with solid-state memory I don't see a corre
