I think it is to most of us, but I have a Nikon 50mm f1.4 which I use
for inside the church during weddings, and for some portraits by
available light, on my D1X and it is a fantastic lens. I am keeping my
eyes open for the 85mm f1.8 now. I never have been a lover of zooms
but they are convenient. for me a prime lens wins every time.
