Subject: [Leica] Where to get replacement M6 battery cap?

After losing the eyepiece from my Hexar RF, I have learned to finger tighten
everything routinely. And I agree that the less attractive "nickel" covers
are less likely to unscrew.

Do NOT do this. The back contact of the battery flows through the cap to
the body.... ( Negative or positive, I forget). A good tape job will
prevent the battery voltage from reaching the electronics.

Get the cap with the "screwdriver" slot. Check frequently.

Next time try a little bit of that plumber's teflon tape they use to seal
pipes...it won't mess anything up but it will hold the cap on.
