Hi Nathan,
The world situation of today in the middle east brought to mind a story that
might be of interest when the 1967 6 day war started.
The News Desk.: 1967
Dateline Tel Aviv, Israel. The first day of the 1967 six day war between
Israel and it's Arab neighbors, the reporter I was working with received a
wire from the news desk in Toronto, "FORGET WAR--LOOK FOR CANADIAN
ANGLE!"... Brilliant, here we were about to cover our first war and receive
a message like that.
The next day another wire, but we didn't read it until we were in an
Israeli media vehicle heading to the front, it read; " DISREGARD FIRST
WIRE-- CARRY ON WAR!" We went to war!
Some things never seem to change. Sad state indeed.
