Haven't handled it but it looks good in the shelves where I have seen it. 
What's positive is that the LX2 features a 16:9 format sensor (not cropped), 
image stabilization, and it has a 28mm equiv. at the wide side of the zoom 
(many compacts have 35 or higher). But 10MP on a 1/1.65" CCD may result in 
high noise already at lower ISO.
