We all know they are not toys. I find it a little miffing that we're sitting here even having this discussion about the definition of the word toy when taken out of context. Don't be offended by it, unless you physically made his camera with your tools after pounding out a few pounds of brass and then tooling the gears for it. We all buy our equipment. Some of us even buy pinhole cameras. A Leica is just a box with a hole at one end and sometimes film at the other. Arguing about the meaning of the word toy at the beginning of this thread gets us nowhere. Just take some photos with it & don't care if anyone calls your Leica a toy or a brick or a sandwich.
