Daniel,
I liked the stone column.  There is something about blue granite that draws
you to it.  You know that in a thousand years the column will be down but
those blocks of stone will be holding something up somewhere.  There is a
wall near my house where they used broken tombstones to build the wall, too
much waste not to use the perfectly good stone.
