I hope the M8 production model has as good IR sensitivity. The photo at ISO 1250 is impressive. Lower graininess than I would have expected. I have never used an 87 filter but expect it is at least a full stop slower than an 89B or the Hoya R72. A typical exposure with my D1H at ISO 800 is 1/30 @ f8. Judging by your M8 shot, I would guess the M8 is at least as sensitive as the Nikon.
