Hey guys even I can add a tiny bit to this Dakota flying. :-)

My first ever flight 1951 was in a DC-3 out of Rockcliffe air base in
Ottawa, Canada to Canadian Forces Camp Borden as an officer cadet for
Armoured Corp training and my life as a "zipperhead!" Love those Sherman's
and Staghound armoured cars. :-)

During the flight, I took a, if you can believe it.... "flash picture" from
the back of the cabin area. Scared the hell out of everyone thinking it was
something wrong with the plane.

To say the least the CO didn't take too kindly to it and for a few minutes I
thought this would be my first and last flight, not to wonder I might end
up in an infantry regiment and walking, rather than riding in a tank! :-) Or
Staghound, which I much preferred on wheels.:-)
