Here's an inside secret.  The 14235 wide strap is 
perfect for all of the LTM and M Leicas.  The 
odd-shaped fitting is deathlessly reliable and 
has never given me a problem.  The split-ring 
jobs eventually trash the camera-body lugs but 
the Leica fitments apparently do not damage these lugs.
