Vick,

With the good imaging quality that both Nikon and Canon (and yes  
Pentax) bodies are providing these days, it may be better to consider  
the lenses you'd be using for the kind of shooting you do.  
Traditionally Nikon does better with wide angle lenses, Canon better  
with telephoto. As with all generalizations, there are exceptions to  
this too. Canon's 35mm f1.4 is decent, and Tina likes the 24mm f1.4  
(I haven't used it). And as others have said, Canon can use most  
Leica R glass.
