The intermediate stops on the 5D actually produce more noise than the next up full stop, so there is rarely any reason to use the intermediate stops. On the other hand, I wouldn't mind an 80 or even 40 on the M8, as long as it doesn't compromise dynamic range, as it does on the Canons. -- * Henning J.
