I try always shot from the shadow side. If I compare it with the Summicron - I think you refer to the Collapsable - , I think it gives more smoothness, it approach some qualities of the Elmar 5cm f/3,5 and the Summicron, in my opinion is more sooft on the greys and on the contrast... Does a hood improve contrast, or is the Summitar contrasty enough without?
