Thanks, this I understand!

I don't have a hood for the Summitar, it is too expensive! I try always shot
from the shadow side. If I compare it with the Summicron - I think you refer
to the Collapsable - , I think it gives more smoothness, it approach some
qualities of the Elmar 5cm f/3,5 and the Summicron, in my opinion is more
sooft on the greys and on the contrast...

Anyway I'm not still very prpoud on both lenses, I love all my "girl
friends"

Sorry, my English often leaves much to be desired also;^)

Do you find that the Summitar needs a lens hood to reduce flare?

Does a hood improve contrast, or is the Summitar contrasty enough without?

How do find it compares to the Summicron?
