I don't know about Amazon European orders, but here in Aus books often 
arrive from Germany and CDs from USA.
I with you on UPS as far as higher costs and no better service for this 
overseas buyer as well. Then you get the bonus here of I
extra UPS fees, then import assessment fees and then taxes on the item then 
taxes on the shipping and taxes on the fees all because
it hasn't arrived via the Post Office.

Why didn't I think of that? Thanks. I'll remember that the next time I 
order software. I've used Amazon UK before and they use reliable 
services (Royal and Swedish mail).
