I am suspecting the same thing. Oh well, I am going to keep using my hand 
held meter until I pick up a second M body.  I can't be without a camera for 
that lomg.  I have been meaning to pick up a spare body anyway.  I can't see 
myself using them both at the same time but I think it's a must when you 
only use M bodies.  Leica M cameras seem to quite durable but when they need 
to get fixed one should expect them to be gone for a while.
