Subject: [Leica] Dropped lens needs repair

I didn't suggest Focal Point because my understand of what Jon does is to  
do 
a marvelous job on the glass...
 
My reading of what Jeffery wrote about the dropped lens was that the  
mechanism was the problem --rather than the glass itself ---and I believe  
that that 
work ought to be given to someone who can competently straighten the  metal 
and restore the lens to its former self -- but not insofar as the glass is  
concerned...
 
Of course if the glass is also affected, then Focal Point is the place to  
go 
...
