Anyway, look at the bottom of your checks: you should find the bank
routing number, and your account number.

If that's all they were asking for -- yes, that info can be abused to
try to initiate bogus transfers, but it's info everyone you mail a check
to gets.  So calibrate your nervousness based on that when making
decisions.
