Oh yes, now I do remember..... the Japanese made lenses are Cosina, the
German made lenses are Zeiss. Both are marketed under the Zeiss
name.....and you are correct, Zeiss targeted Leica prices, certainly not
Cosina prices.
Thanks for the Erwin article on the Summarits..... It will make for a good
read.... Erwin is so technical, it is hard to fathom his intensity....

Frank I was referring to the Zeiss Ikon range of ZM lenses, which are
marketed by Zeiss but almost all made by Cosina in Japan, like
their camera
