Subject: [Leica] Nocton 40 1.4 samples

Thanks to Henning Wulff I now have a 40mm Nocton. He even had it
modified to the 35mm lines, something I was thinking about doing if I
were to get one.

I made some test shots with the lens yesterday and have them on line:

The first one shows where the frame lines fall at closest focus
distance. The pen is where the 50mm lines were and the 35mm lines were
on the 30 inch mark on the ruler:

These next shots are of my little buddy modeling for me, the first one
was shot at 1.4. Pretty close, I think I shifted focus a little when I
recomposed. The eye is what I was focused on:

This one is at 2, 2.5 or 2.8:

And this last one was shot in the Mall:

So far I am really liking this lens, it seems to be better than my 50
Konica Hexanon f2, but I could be wrong.
