Subject: [Leica] BULLITT and THE FRENCH CONNECTION and Cars

After THE FRENCH CONNECTION in every car chase seen there was always one
point where the car goes over a hill and goes into the air a foot or two.
Referred by everyone I knew then as "the Bullet scene".

It remained an action film clich? for years.

Well into the Burt Reynolds good old boy car chase scenes.
Then they started to figure other stuff out.
Like the car goes into the air.
Hits another car.
They both explode.
And on the way down hit a police car.

Then just keep adding cars.
Ramps are handy.
