Doug,
I'd say less need to crop when the factor is x2 .
So now, it all depends on the lens you're using - with 4/3 lenses you 
don't throw anything away.
And with others, you "throw the edges away", which in most cases is not 
the best part of the lens. So I can't really see shere the trouble is.
