Yep, the absolutely best solution to the Outlook problem.....

I wonder how many people have gotten messed up because of Outlook and their
real need to refresh Windows?  I bet Apple has a lot of new customers just
because of this.....

I use Thunderbird. I keep my file not on the c: drive but somewhere else.
In this way i don't even have to think about backing it up Because it 
will not be erased during the fresh install of windows.
