Right.

Yet, in the case of the quoted text from the review, it seemed to  
"me" the minimum to clearly communicate the relationship of her  
comment to our "avant-garde" discussion. However, you found it too  
long. And if you'd not had enough interest to use the link to full  
text, or even if you did go the full text, perhaps her text would not  
have held you long enough to get to the meat I intended. ;~ 
(  Arriving at the correct balance - not an easy task.
