Another issue, at least with the Bessa L and, afaik, R, was the advance 
lever getting stuck at the end of the film roll. No issue when you knew it, 
then you just backspooled the roll, opened the backdoor, and the lever was 
unblocked again. But some used force - and jammed it. 

Some reported tilted framelines in early R or R2 series. And my Bessa L lost 
the foam inside the little filmroll info window, I believe because I used 
bulk cans which might have made more pressure on the foam, or pressure at 
the wrong place, whatever. The incoming light completely ruined the results 
from one shooting day with about 5 or 6 rolls. Since I taped the whole 
window. But finally it's a $99 camera so I am willed to pardon such small 
inconvenients :-) though there would have been some very nice shots on those 
rolls :-(...
