Indeed. When Leica announced the details of the DMR I remember voices saying
that it would be obsolete before it was released, cameras would have much
higher pixel counts by then, sensors would be better - but as things turned
out that was wrong and the DMR was (sorry, is) capable of turning out
cracking images.
