The money/cost issue will always be there to harp on with fine optics  
and other machines.
It seems pointless to bemoan the price of fine objects.
Price aside; I've rarely enjoyed the results from high ISO film (or  
digital).
I prefer the look of lowest possible ISO films (or sensor) with fast  
glass.
Just that simple.
