There used to be a modified Citroen SM in Hannover with a Mercedes 
radiator grill - looked rather classy.
Someone else had a workshop that specialised in rebuilding 11CVs too.

Renault 4s were always very prone to rusting, Fiats of all kinds too.
A colleague of mine drove a wonderful little 1973 Alfa Zagato in silver 
metallic (genannt Eierfeile - so niedrig war's) that finally fell to 
pieces - lovely looker though.
