OK, well I guess we shall have to wait until someone's shutter fails as a
warranty issue and see what they get back.
I did read one report where the user killed their camera by installing a
hacked version of the firmware. Leica repaired the camera at some expense
including having to replace a circuit board. However at his request they
actually fitted the new shutter while the camera was disassembled AT NO
ADDITIONAL CHARGE. You would have to think that was a goodwill gesture (and
very undeserved), even though he acknowledged that it was his fault. I also
recall another report where something similar happened while a sensor was
being replaced under warranty. However I can't locate that one currently.

and i did not mean anything bad, if your shutter goes out, you get the new
