Subject: [Leica] New M8 Charger

A short product review. I just received one of the new compact battery
chargers for my M8 from PopFlash (got a good deal too).
It is tiny and really easy to slip into a small corner of your camera bag.
The power lead is detachable. Mine came with a US and a European power lead
as well as one for 12v car cigarette lighter socket.
The socket is a standard appliance lead socket. I'll be carrying mine with a
very short and small, Aussie plug lead.
The size is 76mm x 56mm x 29mm or about 3 in x 21/4 in x 11/4 in for the
folks still resisting metrication.

It has a rapid charge capacity and indicator too for 80% charge.
I would guess that this one is standard with the new M8.2?

Anyway very recommended over the much bulkier original. You can leave that
one at home and carry the new one everywhere.

Cheers
Geoff
